Bergamot Oil Caution:
Bergamot oil is phototoxic and hence, should not be used before or while sun bathing or even before stepping out into the sun; as it can cause uneven pigmentation.
Bergamot can irritate sensitive skin. So, always do a skin test for allergies before use by dabbing a small amount of bergamot oil on the wrist or elbow to check for any skin sensitive reactions.
Do not use bergamot oil if you have raised moles on the skin.
Disclaimer: Always consult a qualified aromatherapist before you think of taking any oil internally. Always dilute essential oil and other concentrated aromatherapy oils on the skin. Do not apply them at full strength without verifying with an expert aromatherapy practitioner. Never use any oil without conducting a skin patch test for oil sensitivity or possible allergic reactions.
