Atlas Cedarwood Oil and Virginian Cedarwood Oil
Properties of Cedarwood Oil
- Atlas Cedarwood oil is light golden yellow in color with a medium, oily viscous consistency, base note and medium to strong aroma. This has a more sharper note than Virginian Cedarwood Oil.
Virginian Cedarwood Oil is colorless, oily viscous consistency and medium aroma. This oil has a wooden pencil smell; resembles the aroma of woody cedar closets. - Antiseptic, astringent, expectorant, diuretic (induces frequent urination), sedative (inducing sleep)
Uses of Cedarwood Oil
- Astringent effect of the oil of cedarwood is good to counteract oily skin and deal with acne, eczema and psoriasis.

Ways to Use Cedarwood Oil
Essence Burners
Vaporization: Here cedarwood oil helps to treat inflammatory disorders like bronchitis, arthritis, rheumatism and as a general tonic for respiratory problems. Stop as soon as you feel that mucus membranes are getting irritated. It also plays a role as an insect repellant.
Baths
