Common contributing factors for arthritis are

- changes in the joint structure, especially in the knee and spine

Arthritis Home Remedies
- Mix a teaspoon of honey with two teaspoons of lemon juice, in a cup of warm water. This mixture is taken twice a day.
- Take two baked egg plants. Fry them in castor oil, along with spices, such as garlic, cumin, salt, turmeric and coriander.
- Fresh pineapple juice proves beneficial for arthritis. The effect is attributed to bromelain in pineapple.
- Juice of green leafy vegetables is mixed with equal amounts of beet, carrot and celery juice.
- A glass of warm water with a pinch of turmeric powder is highly effective.
- Eat a pod of garlic, everyday for three months, as it is very useful.
- Short oil massage can be beneficial particularly with Emu Oil and/ or EPO.
Tips on Arthritis
Dietary recommendations for Rheumatoid Arthritis include
1) Include foods rich in vitamins C and E. Ginger and turmeric exhibit anti inflammatory properties. Oily fish such as salmon, sardines and tuna, along with cod liver oil supplements prove beneficial.
2) Avoid dairy foods and foods high in saturated fats. Foods which belong to the nightshade (Solanum) family such as capsicum, tomatoes, potatoes and egg plant are not considered.
Other suggestions include:
- Iodine in the sea water has a therapeutic effect on arthritic pain. Have a good bath in the sea!
- Keep the body warm.
- Do not bandage or tie the joints. This in turn restricts motility and also reduces circulation.
