Body rash is the inflammation of the skin, accompanied by a certain degree of itching and irritation. This results in skin rash which affects the texture and appearance of the skin. It also results in blisters, which are painful. Any reaction to allergens or irritants results in body rash.

Typical causes of body rash are anxiety, reaction to vaccines, pregnancy, allergens, such as dyes and chemicals, food allergy, sun burns, fungal infection, lead poisoning, eczema and other skin problems, heat rash, dry skin and reaction to daily use substances, such as soaps, cosmetics, detergents and perfumes.

Body rashes are not life threatening, unless and until, they are a part of other infections, such as chicken pox. Over the counter remedies include anti histamines, moisturizing lotions and anti-itch creams. Large blisters are considered as thermal burns. Individuals with such blisters are taken to the burn unit of the hospital, for treatment. Intravenous catheters are used in individuals with high dehydration levels. Electrolyte imbalance is also taken care of.
Natural Remedies for Body Rash
Rash Treatment with Poultice: Topical application of a paste made with two garlic pods, pepper, salt, 15 basil leaves and a tablespoon of olive oil proves beneficial for body rash.
Rash Treatment with Olive oil: Apply olive oil on the affected area for noticeable relief.
Rash Treatment with Oatmeal: Drop a cup of oatmeal into the bath tub. Soak in this water for healing the rash.
Rash Treatment with Baking Soda: Dab some baking soda on te affected area. It provides immense relief from itching and irritation.
Rash Treatment with Chamomile Tea: Make a decoction of chamomile flowers and wash the rashes with the decoction.
Rash Treatment with Herbs: Make a paste of chaparral, yellow dock root and dandelion, with water and apply as poultice, over the rashes.
Tips for Body Rash
Avoid the intake of medications and foods, to which you are allergic. Take care of the cosmetics, perfumes and soaps that you use. Do not peel the skin or the blister. Avoid breaking the same. Avoid any application of ointments to broken skin areas. Sterile gauze is placed on the ruptured skin. Intake of foods rich in ascorbic acid, such as citrus fruits and Indian gooseberry, prove helpful. Such foods fight off infection, owing to its antioxidant property. Exposure to sun or hot water, in a direct manner is not allowed.
